Every major Revival has been spawned by fervent prayer. The Moravian Revival of 1727, the Hebrides Revival of 1949-1952, and the Business Man’s Revival of 1857- 1860 just shortly after the Great Disappointment of 1844 , just to name a few. Review and Herald March 22, 1887 states:
“A Revival of True Godliness among us is our greatest and most urgent of all our needs. To seek this should be our first work…it is our work, by confession, humiliation, repentance and earnest prayer to fulfill the conditions upon which God has promised to grant us His blessing. A revival need be expected only in answer to earnest prayer.”
“For the baptism of the Holy Spirit every worker should be breathing out his prayer to God. Companies should be gathered together to call upon God for special help for heavenly wisdom.” TM 160
Cry has launched an initiative to establish prayer groups in every state in the US. These prayer group will be focused on individual revival and reformation as well as revival and reformation in your home church and the conference of which you are a part of. Each prayer group will pray a minimum of once a week for a minimum of an hour.
Cry is seeking to establish prayer groups in states where there is no prayer group. If you would like to start a prayer group in your area, it is very simple to do so. All you need is a minimum of two people, “where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:20 Please contact us at cryrevival@gmail.com to let us know about your interest, location and a contact person. Please share email or telephone number for people to contact you, that may be placed on the Directory. We will provide mentorship and all the support you need to get you going.
If you would like to join an already existing prayer group, please check the Directory for the contact person of the group in your area and contact the group leader. He or she will provide you with the details regarding when and how the group facilitates their prayer group.
